On-site Hydraulic Inspection and Certification for oil and gas drilling equipment systems.
Minimize Your Risk, Liabilities, Downtime, & Equipment failure with RL Miller’s On-site Hydraulic Inspection and Certification Service. Prevent controllable issues from becoming major problems and avoid expensive repairs, loss-time, and catastrophic failures that will shut your project down without the hassle of moving over-sized hydraulic equipment from your work site. RL Millers’ Hydraulic System Inspection and Certification program services nearly every type of hydraulic oil and gas drilling equipment in the field throughout PA, WVA, and Ohio.
There’s an added awareness related to hydraulic equipment incidents, which must adhere to American Petroleum Institute (API), Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations, as well as a growing list of agencies with ever-changing corporate and industry safety and reliability standards, energy guidelines, and state and local requirements.
Self-inspections and constant staff training is expensive and most often considered a conflict of interest. RL Miller’s independent Hydraulic System Inspection and Certification can provide a higher level of trust and acceptance by your operators. Insurance carriers which are provided documentation and assurancesfrom an independent certified inspector can help make your equipment more insurable. Properly inspected, certified, and maintained hydraulic equipment is a strong link in the liability chain.
RL Miller’s on-site Hydraulic System Inspection and Certification employ certified hydraulic technicians and engineers, which have helped thousands of companies reduce risk to personnel and equipment, increase productivity, and equipment reliability with field inspections, preventative maintenance, and certifications. Our inspectors have extensive knowledge of hydraulic equipment to quickly troubleshoot breakpoints and the experience and credentials from accredited sources to provide you with a comprehensive, tested, inspection and maintenance and or repair necessary to pass any vetting process.
RL Miller’s on-site Hydraulic System Inspection and Certification field service includes: visually and mechanically testing all critical components such as: Hoses, Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Seals, Gauges, Suction Pumps, Augers, Open Loop, Boost and Fan Systems for cracking, pitting, dents, scoring, leaks or worn fittings, seals and couplings, temperature, pressure, and other damage that could allow fluid bypass to ensure hydraulic systems and fluid are properly transmitting power, provide cooling, and controlling contaminants, protecting against wear, rust and corrosion, and sealing against leakage. Our fields service vehicles are fully equipped with compressors, cutting and welding equipment, advanced diagnostic equipment hydraulic parts and components for fast and accurate troubleshooting and repairs. RL Miller’s on-site service brings expert repair and maintenance to your job site to reduce downtime and accelerate equipment production and capabilities.
Check hydraulic fluid levels, leakage, fluid contamination, particulates and water, odor, which will reduce flow, power, and admit contaminants to enter and slows down movement of components.
Reservoir inspection is an important step. We check liquid level indicators for changes in color and odor and signs of aeration, foaming, and contaminants, and confirm they are functioning properly.
Clean and pre-filter hydraulic reservoirs when adding new or topping off fluid. Examine and test breather caps and breather filters and replace if signs of wear or impact damage from contaminated oil viscosity.
Low flow can mean high pressure and existence damage. We listen for abnormal noise from motors and pumps that could be signs of oil starvation or cavitation. A plugged filter may cause cavitation or oil starvation in a hydraulic pressure pump. We also take the necessary and important step to verify hydraulic motors are running at the correct RPMs.
Temperature control is one of the most important factors in RL Miller’s Hydraulic System Inspection and Certification. High temperatures may be a result of impaired or obstructed drive motors, sticky valves, parts and components, improper settings, contaminated filters, or issues with the oil cooler and or fan system.
RL Miller’s certified hydraulic technicians and engineers are ready to provide prompt, cost-effective, on-site Hydraulic System Inspection and Certification for your oil and gas drilling machinery and equipment to protect against expensive stoppages and ensure you have the necessary certifications to be compliant with federal, state, local, corporate, and worksite safety regulations, energy guidelines, and reliability standards.
